Jeffrey Scipione, D.C.
Dr. Jeff Scipione joined Integrative Healthcare Associates in May 2013 following his graduation from New York Chiropractic College. In addition to their science based curriculum, Dr. Scipione has received 100+ hours of training in Applied Kinesiology and has moved back to the area to join Dr. Corneal. Jeff was born into a chiropractic family (his mother, father, and brother are doctors) in State College Pennsylvania. He was a State High graduate in the class of 2002, then received over 100 credit hours at Penn State University before finishing his undergraduate degree at New York Chiropractic College. He has always been active in sports and also enjoys fishing, hiking, and hunting. Dr. Scipione has treated patients ages 0-100 at every level of health and fitness.
Tyler Phillips, D.C.
Dr. Tyler Phillips graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic and joined Integrative Healthcare Associates in May 2024. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Juniata College, providing him a strong science background as well as studying psychology and art. His patients receive non-invasive, medication-free treatment to deal with their bodily pain and functional issues, such as a loss in range of motion. Dr. Phillips is passionate about learning about every patient’s life, giving each patient treatment tailored to their unique case, and educating them on ways to help prevent reoccurrence. Certified in using Activator Methods, every adjustment is carefully decided and delivered using the lightest force necessary to resolve a person’s complaint. There is no neck bending or joint cracking involved with this technique. Being very gentle and highly specific, this treatment can be given to any type of person: any age, any body type, any fitness level, someone with a previous injury/surgery, or even someone with unique anatomy.
Karen Stoner, LMT
Karen Stoner is a Licensed Massage Therapist who holds additional advanced certifications in Prenatal Massage, Fertility Massage, Infant Massage, and Infant Massage Instruction. She has been providing Massage Therapy in the State College Area since 2003. She is a classically trained ballerina and has performed in some of the top artistic venues on the east coast. After her cum laude graduation from the Hartt School at the University of Hartford with a degree in Children’s Dance Pedagogy, she enjoyed a career performing in State College before her retirement from professional dance. Karen has undergone over 1300 hours of training and holds many massage certifications, including: Swedish, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, Sports Massage, Hot Stone Massage, and several others. Her clients range from newborn infants to professional football players. Her dance training offers her unique insight as to how and why the body works the way it does. John Corneal, D.C./D.I.B.A.K.

Integrative Health Care Associates was started in 1982 by John Corneal, DC., DIBAK. Dr. Corneal has been a local chiropractor/applied kinesiologist in the State College area for over 30 years. He received his undergraduate degree from Penn State and his chiropractic degree from Life University in Georgia. He received his advanced training in Applied Kinesiology from the late Dr. George Goodheart, who founded the practice of Applied Kinesiology, and received his Diplomate.
